Hello Maple Families,
Welcome back to week 2 of the New Year! Let's hope the weather is more agreeable this week!
On the topic of inclement weather, please read below about a few important reminders about reporting absences on Safe Arrival with the proper code, coming to the main office to sign students in on inclement weather days, and being aware of changes to Milk, Subway, and hot lunch programs changes due to inclement weather.
We hope you are having a wonderful weekend, and see you all on Monday!

Report Weather or Transportation Related Absence
All parents/guardians are asked to report their student’s absence regardless of the reason, including during bus cancellations. Often, bused students find alternative ways to school and we want to ensure we know the whereabouts of every student to ensure their safety and well-being. Knowing who is supposed to be at school will allow school office staff to best ensure all students are accounted for. Students are asked to ensure they use the Main Entrance doors and report to the Office if arriving after the 9:15 bell.
The reporting tool has two options regarding transportation:
- Inclement weather (all transportation types and walkers) for any inclement weather days when your student will not be attending school.
- Transportation (not weather-related) for any non-weather-related transportation reason when your student will not be attending school (e.g., when a bus is cancelled due to a driver shortage).
We recognize this is a change in practice but one we are making to ensure student safety and well-being. Thank you for your support and understanding.
During the winter, Tri-Board utilizes professional weather monitoring & forecasting
services and works closely with our school bus companies to determine if it is safe to offer school bus transportation on inclement weather days.
A bus is cancelled in a weather zone if it serves a school or has a bus stop located in the weather zone. Buses may be cancelled in other zones based on local conditions.
Schools will remain open however any students driven to school by parents/guardians will need to be picked up at the end of the day.

The National Anthem will be sung by Maple Students!
Interested in volunteering: https://signup.com/go/wQyciXJ - we need help selling pucks and help on the ice to collect the pucks. All volunteers require tickets and those going on the ice will need skates and a helmet.
Please note that all upcoming Pizza and Pita Pit Hot Lunch Days will be rescheduled to the following Monday when there is a Snow Day on the scheduled date.
It is important for students to bring their own lunches on Snow Days if they come to school.
Thank you!
