It’s the 45th anniversary of Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope.

This year, our school is going all out to fundraise for cancer research! We’re super excited to take part!

The Ecole Maple Terry Fox Campaign kicked off on Thursday, September 11, 2025, with a short assembly, where students learned about the Terry Fox Foundation and the wonderful ways in which raising money can help fight cancer.  This year’s “Finish It” campaign symbolizes our shared commitment to help finish Terry’s marathon against cancer

Our annual Terry Fox Walk will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025 (Rain date will be Tuesday, October 14th). As we gear up for this day, we are asking that students and parents discuss Terry’s message and help carry on his dream with fundraising.  Our goal this year is to raise $15,000.00!  Our online fundraising page is live and can be found below. Please share this with family and friends!

Students received paper pledge forms and will have the opportunity to collect money donations and online donations to help our school carry on Terry’s dream.

Get your 45th Anniversary Terry Fox Shirt On School Day!

As part of our campaign to spread awareness, we will celebrate “Terry Tuesday” each week. Students, staff and parents are encouraged to wear a Terry Fox shirt or red to promote discussion about our mission. If you would like to purchase a shirt, you can find this information on School Day or use the paper form attached to the information sent home.  Please check the deadline as we will be sending in one collective order this year.  Quantities and sizes are limited so we will do our best to fulfill each order.  Every donation and every dollar from shirt sales goes towards the fight against cancer and Ecole Maple’s fundraising goal.

• Thursday Sept. 18th -Run Club @ 8:15
• Friday Sept. 19th - Wear Red Friday

Run Club -Every Tuesday and Thursday at 8:15am (weather permitting)

Sept. 23rd - SAC Election Meeting - taking nominations & selecting parents for specific roles.

Sept.29th -Maple Open House 5:00-6:00

Oct. 10th -PA Day -No School for students
