Hello Maple Families,

We hope you are all enjoying your weekend! It's hard to believe that March break is only 1 week away!

With all of the rain and warmer weather, we are encouraging parents to pack extra clothing (including socks) just in case things get wet! We will do our best to direct students away from the water, but sometimes students are like magnets to it!

Please take a moment to review the rest of the newsletter, and see all of the fun things happening here at Ecole Maple.

We hope you all have a wonderful week!

The Ecole Maple Team

Report Weather or Transportation Related Absence

All parents/guardians are asked to report their student’s absence regardless of the reason, including during bus cancellations. Often, bused students find alternative ways to school and we want to ensure we know the whereabouts of every student to ensure their safety and well-being. Knowing who is supposed to be at school will allow school office staff to best ensure all students are accounted for. Students are asked to ensure they use the Main Entrance doors and report to the Office if arriving after the 9:15 bell.

The reporting tool has two options regarding transportation:

  • Inclement weather (all transportation types and walkers) for any inclement weather days when your student will not be attending school.
  • Transportation (not weather-related) for any non-weather-related transportation reason when your student will not be attending school (e.g., when a bus is cancelled due to a driver shortage).

We recognize this is a change in practice but one we are making to ensure student safety and well-being. Thank you for your support and understanding.

TriboardDuring the winter,  Tri-Board utilizes professional weather monitoring & forecasting

services and works closely with our school bus companies to determine if it is safe to offer school bus transportation on inclement weather days.

A bus is cancelled in a weather zone if it serves a school or has a bus stop located in the weather zone. Buses may be cancelled in other zones based on local conditions.

Schools will remain open however any students driven to school by parents/guardians will need to be picked up at the end of the day.
