We hope you have all been enjoying the warm June weather so far! We are getting closer to the end of the school year, but we have lots of things still to come in our Maple community. Please see below!
A big congrats to our Track and Field Athletes who represented Maple well and came back with some fantastic results! Best of luck this week at the Championships!
We also have our Ultimate Frisbee team going to a tournament this week as well!
Clubs are also in full effect again this week. It's great to see so many students involved!

The Strawberry Moon
The Strawberry Moon is the name given to the full moon in June. It marks the time when wild strawberries are ready to be harvested. Strawberries are often referred to as the “heart berry,” symbolizing love, healing, and connection. The Strawberry Moon is also a time for reflection on relationships—with family, community, and the environment—and for renewing those connections with care and respect. In many teachings, the first strawberry of the season is tasted as a reminder to honour the sweetness of life and to give thanks for the gifts of the land.
This is the Week For Jump Rope For Heart
We are excited to share that our school will be participating in the Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser! Our school’s goal this year is $1600 or for each student to raise or donate $2 to support this important cause. Every small contribution helps make a big difference. We are encouraging students to stay active, get moving, and build healthy habits while supporting a great cause. Our school will be having our jump rope for heart event on June 10th, and students who fundraise will have their names placed in a draw for prizes.
